A lot has happened in my life during July and August. I took a break for blogging and YouTube, I moved, and I made a whole bunch of crazy life changes.
If you’re new to my blog you’re probably a little bit confused. What is “Insert month Happiness”?
Every month I talk about a few think that have made my month great.
Because it’s important to reflect on what makes you happy and keeps you going. It’s essential for self love and all together happiness.
I’ve decided to start a new part on my blog capturing the adventures I go on creating art as a college student. My awesome roomie and new best friend models and two of her photographer friends came up for the weekend and let me tell you, it was a kick ass thing.
I’ve recently started a series on my blog showcasing what made me happy for the month! So far I’ve done a post for May and April and I’m here today to bring you my post for June!
It’s very common thing to want to get up early but just not feeling capable of it. There are probably thousands of posts and videos about how to simplify become a morning person.
I’m here today to give you a few simple ways to add more time to your day.
I work in fast food, everytime one of my co workers hands something to hand out I say thank you. It’s not necessary how I was brought up but I’m one I’ve molded myself into. Don’t get me wrong, my family taught me manners but I’ve still realized a lot about the importance of saying thank you.
When deciding to scroll through my Instagram a few weeks ago I stumbled upon an ad for something called a Happiness Planner and I was instantly intrigued.
In about two months I’m headed to college and I’m in need of a planner. I’m also doing everything in my power to stay happy, I don’t talk about it a lot on here but I actually have a mood disorder so my mental health is something I really need to focus on.
Let’s play a game. Would you rather spend $8 on a pair of jeans or $50? Most of you will probably say $8. But what’s the catch?
Starting in April I started a series on my blog where I post about what made me happy the previous month. This ending up leading to me branching out and creating on whole series on just being happy!
While struggling with a mood disorder and anxiety, being truly happy was a huge problem for me for a long time. I finally realized what I can do to be happy all the time. This is a list of things I find are crucial to my happiness
1. Staying off social media
I’ve decided that at the beginning of every month I’m going to make a list of things that made me happy in the previous month. I did something similar on my YouTube channel when I was first starting out except it was my favorites of the month.
I hope doing this will help me remember happy things instead of reflecting on the bad. I also hope that it can help my readers think of happy events in their life too!
1. Celebration of Excellence
Every year at my school a staff member nominates one student for an award. Instead of based on academics or sports this award is for students with character, passion, and drive to do better. My art teacher nominated me and it truly made me happy.
2. My First Check From YouTube
I’ve had a YouTube channel for about two years. I’ve been feeling stuck because I feel like I’m not growing. But this month I received my first check from doing something on YouTube, something I love and am passionate about, and I’m truly happy.
I went to my senior prom. Even though I dislike school events it was fun getting ready and feeling beautiful, and I was truly happy.
4. College Orientation
I got my schedule for my first semester of college, met my roommate and was truly happy and excited.
5. My Boyfriend’s Birthday
My boyfriend turned 20! Unfortunately the day after his birthday he left for deployment but we still had fun. I made him open when letters and he loved them and seeing him happy makes me happy!
